Last night I had an unexpected HH with some friends. We went to Pappadeaux. Good conversation with friends is always fun. Thanks guys. Even though I have to cram getting mani, pedi, wax, shopping, packing and getting my outfit tight for tonight all in 4 hours. Man oh Man it's gonna be a busy night.
Happy Wednesday !!! If you haven't already, make sure you check out the Texas Relay Tab for a lot of parties going on this weekend. I'm starting mine off on Thursday. It's my Relay Religion. This year I may actually attend the Relays. I love the 4x4, 100 and 200 meter runs. I'm also hitting up the Urban Music Fest this year. I'm interested in Miguel and Melanie Fiona. Boyz to Men and After 7 I've hung out with and seen them perform on many occasions. Now Baby Face I've met once but it was a casual run in at one of Jack the Rapper events when I use to sing with my Girls Kim and Krystal. Those were the days. LOL. I've added a few pics. Yesterday me, Monty and Sibit participated in the Rally for Justice for Trayvon Martin. It was liberating!! We were in front of the Capitol, everyone holding signs while cars going by honking showing support. There was a moment of silence and a song was sung. A change is gonna come. Then there was an instant march down congress. It was nice to see people get together for a good cause with no violence. Loved it. Here's a few pics. Hello all, I'm still trying to recoup from SXSW but it's time to shake the cobwebs loose. Although Friday I did have a lovely time with a few friends at 11st Station. Went for drinks and found out there was a DJ jamming and later it was a Play Date with another awesome DJ. So I guess the cobwebs were shook off this past weekend. This weekend let's get our party on with The Texas Relays. Find out some Hot Spots in the Texas Relay Parties Tab.
Now let's get to the heart of today. At 5pm today at the State Capitol, here in Austin, there is a Rally for Justice for Trayvon Martin. Make sure you wear your hoodie. If you don't have one handy still come out and show your support for Trayvon, his family and for all of us.
It's been a nice week. I needed the time to recoup from SXSW. Next weekend it'll be on again for Texas Relays and Urban Music Fest. What a time it will be. All the parties are starting to come in. I'll post those on Monday.
Wow, what an amazing time I had this year at SXSW. Lots of shows, fun people and lots of exercise. LOL. I attended a lot of free concerts and parties. Pure Volume, Fader Fort and MTV Woodie Awards just to name a few. I hung out mainly with Herbert, Happy Hour Hero!! I also shared time with Tje Austin, Sonia Rao and Chanel my beautiful mini me just to name a few as well. Some of the performers that I caught this year were.... Santigold, Fun, Walk the Moon, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and The Dream. Man, what fun it was to catch them perform live. I'm sad that I didn't get to see Jon B but my mini me did and even had a chance to hang out with him behind stage.
It was major fun and if you haven't experienced SXSW I insist you do next year. Here are a few pics. Forgot to take the big camera for better shots but here ya go.....

Last night was so much fun. My first SXSW event for 2012. I finally had a chance to hang out with HH Hero (Herbert) and Tje Austin. Those are my boys!! We were at Dogwood where it was free drinks & drinks (oh yea and food) sponsored by Bypass Lane. If you haven't used By Pass before you don't know what your missing. OK, say you're at a Dallas Cowboys game and the concession stand is packed. You think to yourself, Self, Do you really wanna stand in that long line for some popcorn and a cold beer. Self says, Heck Naw!!! So you have your Bypass app. and start ordering. You will then receive a text when your order is ready and where to pick it up. Easy as pie. So, you know Herbert, Tje and I were ordering left and right. We met some awesome people from Hurl and they're having a party Sat. Well, how's it going? Hopefully everyone is doing fabulous! Weekend was much to short but I made the most of it. One of the things I did was check out Jam Rock @ District 301 on Sat. Me and a few of the crew had a marvelous time. Selecta Q Forty Five was on the ones and twos giving us major hip action.

Hope everyone has been having a rocking week. I've been busy checking out SXSW events to make sure everyone finds a spot. Last year I was able to see Machine Gun Kelly, Big Sean, Fonzworth Bentley and many more for free. So I'm hoping to try again this year.SXSW is a great time of year!!!
