What's up all my Hot Spot Hitters? Well, it's time for me to get my recap in for the weekend.
I went out of town and had the time of my life. I went to the shooting range. Shooting Range? Did I just type that? Yes, I went to the shooting range and had a blast, literally. I've always been afraid of guns. The first time I held one I just wanted to immediately put it down. It was so uncomfortable. This time around I felt a little more comfortable. It was odd to me to see children there with their parents in the range just shooting but strangely I felt safe. The gun, ammo, ear protectors and protective glasses were provided. I walked in the range and was surprised that the sound of other guns firing weren't completely muffed. I was jumping like a jumping bean at first. So I then loaded my clip with ammo. Actors make it look so easy on t.v. but it's a little tricky. Gun was loaded. Now I was ready to shoot. The first few rounds the casings released into my top. Not a good feeling since the casing are hot from being fired. I scurried to have them fall to the ground from my skin. Then I put my thumb to close to the hammer and it kicked back and cut it me. Everyone could tell that me and my friend were amateurs. But the other shooters were in their own worlds so they didn't mind us much. So, I would recommend that you get out of that box and do something different. It will make you feel excited about life all over again.
Then Monday I hit up Nomad's to get some delicious food from Wing-a-Licious!! Herbert, Happy Hour Hero, and Tje Austin doing their thing. So proud!! They are at Nomad's every Monday. You cant go wrong!!
Update!! I made the buzz to one side of my hair. Been wanting to do it for a year now and have finally done it!! I love it!!! Let me know what you think.

Austin pride and more
Crazy weekend started off fabulous and ended up with me catching a cold. How, you ask? Here's the run down.
Friday started with a Andy Roddick Foundation featuring John Legend concert. It was absolutely the best!! After the concert me and my ace boon Nikki hit up the VIP after-party. It was so much fun, open bar, VIP sections in the VIP area and a fly DJ. We had a blast. Thanks to Tje Austin and Herbert for a Fabulous night.
Saturday, I wake up early to take one of my boys to the vet for his shots. Not only did I get in late but I woke up with a cold. That tells u it was a good night. So for the rest of Saturday. I attended the Austin Pride. It was such a great thing to see everyone celebrating. Chad Michaels, Willam and Milani was on stage rockin it and giving is Drag Fabulous!!! Stacy Q, Lady Bunny and many more were keeping us all entertained!!
I ended my evening with a wedding shower, NyQuil and bed. Bummer when I knew I would be missing Goddess & She perform later that night. Oh well. Sunday was a me day.

Fun in Atlanta for a good cause
This weekend was fabulous!!! I went to Atlanta for the Black Girls Run Drive to End Hunger 5k 10k and had the best time of my life. Did I mention that it was fabulous? Me, Sibit, Nikki, Jeanette and Adrian had a chance to see Atlanta and me
et some great women in the BGR family. We hit... Cafe Circa, Sky Lounge, Strip, Lenox Mall, Lenox Cafe, Coca Cola Museum, Piedmont Park (which they had a Food & Arts Fest.) And those are just a few. When I say fun all around I mean it!!!! Cant wait to do it again.... How about tomorrow???? If anyone is interested in joining BGR just join the group for Austin or anywhere in your city. My Birthday Weekend
Hello all my hot spot hitters. As you can see I'm still having layout problems with my page hopefully I can get it resolved soon. Update.... My birthday was the 21st and boy did I have a blast! I actually celebrated on Sat. the 18th. It started with a surprise trip to the hair salon then I was taken to get a mani and a pedi. Then I was able to get dressed and head over to happy hour which was at Kona Grill in the Domain. A lot of my close friends were able to join me for laughter, good eats and drinks and great company!! I really did enjoy every moment of it!! Later that night a few of us headed downtown. We stayed for a bit at Lipstick and then moved over to Rain. Rain was on and poppin and very packed. After that we were all a bit hungry since none of us ate since HH. We made our way over to The Onion. The Onion is one of my favorite pizza spots!! If you haven't tried you must do so soon. You will not be disappointed. So, while we were there sitting enjoying our pizza there was a guy drunk as a skunk trying to cross the street. A couple of times we thought he was going to get hit but luckily he didn't. He finally rested at a condo entrance. A few of my friends go into action and helps get in touch with his friend. His friend was actually just as drunk as he was. Well, we did our job to make sure them two found each other and hopefully they caught a cab home. Well, that was Sat. then Sunday a few of the girls went to see the movie Sparkle. It was a good movie. I especially liked Whitney Houston's performance. And that was the weekend bday! My actual bday I went to Baby A's and enjoyed a drink. And best thing about it the restaurant gave me a bday dessert!! It was a total surprise. I love me some Baby A's. That was my weekend hopefully you enjoyed your weekend as well.

As many of you know my littlest lady was born rockin' an extra chromosome...she has Down Syndrome and is about the coolest thing since sliced bread :)
We believe in the futures of these amazing individuals like her so much we started a non-profit in her honor, Ruby's Rainbow, to grant postsecondary educational scholarships to adults with Down Syndrome. We have received applications from all over the country from these amazing individuals seeking higher education and it has been very inspiring to learn about them all!
Our first fundraiser, Ruby's Rockin' Rainbowl, will be held at Dartbowl on Sunday, July 29th! There will be live music, food, silent auction..and of course..BOWLING! There are still a few slots open for bowlers - We would love to see you there, but you can't make it and you still want to support you can make a small contribution to "Team Ruby Rollers"!

Tuesday
Hello to all the shaker and movers!! I know it's been another one of those weeks where I've been doing everything but keeping you updated. Well, here we go.
Let's see... My Nephew graduated from Navy Boot Camp! I'm so proud of him. Wednesday was a bday gathering for my girl Sibit. We all gathered at 219 West where they have one of the best HH. We had a good ole time. We even started playing hand games. Like Rock-A-Robin. Chairs went to falling at the end of that one. Thursday I hit up AGLCC's 15th Anniversary Party on The Mayors Balcony at City Hall with Bev. Then Friday I hit up Niches with Happy Hour Hero (HHH'S) It was a rough one but we managed. Saturday was the kicker. First I went over to HHH's place and of course we had some yummy margaritas at 12 noon. Stayed there till about 2 then back home to get dressed for an early dinner with some friends. So we're at Papadeaux and having a splendid time. Everyone catching up and etc. So, we were all finished but it was to early to hit the streets so we all decided to go to HHH's place for a drink. First we headed to Spec's for some spirits and off to HHH's which was just around the corner. We of course started with shots and before you knew it we were playing drinking games, having a disco with a strob light, bringing in Tje's bday with more shots and a lot of fun. We didn't leave till about 2:30 am. I've given HHH'S place a nickname, Club Herbert's! Very fitting. Then Sunday it was Sunday Funday and Tje's bday at Nomad's. Where they have a wonderful brunch and bottomless Mimosas or Poinsettia's. Had a very nice time!!! All in all it was a fabulous week and weekend. Hope u all had a fab one also.

Hello Wednesday and to all of you!!!
Oh my, I have fallen in love. If you know me then you know I love me some sexy shoes. Shoes are my weakness especially when I haven't been feeding my addiction. I've been actually going thru withdraw because I haven't bought any heels in about, dare I say it, 2 months. I think I wanna pass out!! With that being said I found a new site that combines my love for sports and heels together. Yes, Ladies and Gents I have fallen in love with Herstar. It's a fabulous site where you can get a 4 inch Classic Microsuede Pump or a 6 inch Limited Edition Crystal Pump. Herstar is in the process of getting the License for the NFL. Can't wait for that. They also have a small College line that only has the sorority logos. I'm sure Herstar will be getting the license for that soon. Oh yes, I had a pleasant surprise when I got home from Bikram last night. I finally received my package from Haute Look with my NYX Lip Glosses and Beauty to Go Set. I was skeptical about the products at first. Even though I know from watching Ru Paul's Drag Race that they give NYX Cosmetics to the winner so it has to be good. Also, my friend Heather raved about a gloss she bought at a discount store. But you know we all have our doubts especially from a person who really doesn't wear make-up. I jumped in the shower and thought with a fresh face my gloss will be poppin. So, I'm all cleaned up and decide to glide on one of the 3 glosses that I received. To my amazement the gloss just slid right onto my lips. So, the next thing I thought, It'll probably come off in about 5-4-3-2.... Well, again to my amazement the Gloss did not come off even after I ate and drank and with a light wipe to the mouth with a napkin. So, if you're looking for some fabulous Lip Glosses that wont come off easily, not sticky and has longevity than I would recommend the NYX Lip Glosses. The one I'm wearing today is Pink Pose, Mega Shine Lip Gloss. The prices are not to bad. $5.50 per gloss. I caught the Haute Sale which I posted on my FB so I received 3 for $7.50. Awesome sale, I know. Anyway, it's totally worth the $5.50. My Beauty to Go set is a gift for my mini me so I wont know how the eye shadows, eyeliners, mascara and a lot more works out.
