What's up all my Hot Spot Hitters? Well, it's time for me to get my recap in for the weekend.
I went out of town and had the time of my life. I went to the shooting range. Shooting Range? Did I just type that? Yes, I went to the shooting range and had a blast, literally. I've always been afraid of guns. The first time I held one I just wanted to immediately put it down. It was so uncomfortable. This time around I felt a little more comfortable. It was odd to me to see children there with their parents in the range just shooting but  strangely I felt safe. The gun, ammo, ear protectors and protective glasses were provided. I walked in the range and was surprised that the sound of other guns firing weren't completely muffed. I was jumping like a jumping bean at first. So I then loaded my clip with ammo. Actors make it look so easy on t.v. but it's a little tricky. Gun was loaded. Now I was ready to shoot.  The first few rounds the casings released into my top. Not a good feeling since the casing are hot from being fired. I scurried to have them fall to the ground from my skin. Then I put my thumb to close to the hammer and it kicked back and cut it me. Everyone could tell that me and my friend were amateurs.  But the other shooters were in their own worlds so they didn't mind us much. So, I would recommend that you get out of that box and do something different. It will make you feel excited about life all over again.
Then Monday I hit up Nomad's to get some delicious food from Wing-a-Licious!! Herbert, Happy Hour Hero, and Tje Austin doing their thing. So proud!! They are at Nomad's every Monday. You cant go wrong!!

Update!! I made the buzz to one side of my hair. Been wanting to do it for a year now and have finally done it!! I love it!!! Let me know what you think.

Austin pride and more

Crazy weekend started off fabulous and ended up with me catching a cold. How, you ask? Here's the run down.
Friday started with a Andy Roddick Foundation featuring John Legend concert. It was absolutely the best!! After the concert me and my ace boon Nikki hit up the VIP after-party. It was so much fun, open bar, VIP sections in the VIP area and a fly DJ. We had a blast. Thanks to Tje Austin and Herbert for a Fabulous night.
Saturday, I wake up early to take one of my boys to the vet for his shots. Not only did I get in late but I woke up with a cold. That tells u it was a good night. So for the rest of Saturday. I attended the Austin Pride. It was such a great thing to see everyone celebrating. Chad Michaels, Willam and Milani was on stage rockin it and giving is Drag Fabulous!!! Stacy Q, Lady Bunny and many more were keeping us all entertained!!
I ended my evening with a wedding shower, NyQuil and bed. Bummer when I knew I would be missing Goddess & She perform later that night. Oh well. Sunday was a me day.

Fun in Atlanta for a good cause

This weekend was fabulous!!! I went to Atlanta for the Black Girls Run Drive to End Hunger 5k 10k and had the best time of my life. Did I mention that it was fabulous? Me, Sibit, Nikki, Jeanette and Adrian had a chance to see Atlanta and me

et some great women in the BGR family. We hit... Cafe Circa, Sky Lounge, Strip, Lenox Mall, Lenox Cafe, Coca Cola Museum, Piedmont Park (which they had a Food & Arts Fest.) And those are just a few. When I say fun all around I mean it!!!! Cant wait to do it again.... How about tomorrow???? If anyone is interested in joining BGR just join the group for Austin or anywhere in your city. It was a great holiday weekend. Danced, listened to Vallejo live at Antone's, grilled, swam and laid back!! Awesome right! Also, just found out Eraka Badu will be performing live at ACL live Oct. 11th!!!! http://acl-live.com/calendar/2012/10/erykah-badu-2012

My Birthday Weekend

Hello all my hot spot hitters. As you can see I'm still having layout problems with my page hopefully I can get it resolved soon. Update.... My birthday was the 21st and boy did I have a blast! I actually celebrated on Sat. the 18th. It started with a surprise trip to the hair salon then I was taken to get a mani and a pedi. Then I was able to get dressed and head over to happy hour which was at Kona Grill in the Domain. A lot of my close friends were able to join me for laughter, good eats and drinks and great company!! I really did enjoy every moment of it!! Later that night a few of us headed downtown. We stayed for a bit at Lipstick and then moved over to Rain. Rain was on and poppin and very packed. After that we were all a bit hungry since none of us ate since HH. We made our way over to The Onion. The Onion is one of my favorite pizza spots!! If you haven't tried you must do so soon. You will not be disappointed. So, while we were there sitting enjoying our pizza there was a guy drunk as a skunk trying to cross the street. A couple of times we thought he was going to get hit but luckily he didn't. He finally rested at a condo entrance. A few of my friends go into action and helps get in touch with his friend. His friend was actually just as drunk as he was. Well, we did our job to make sure them two found each other  and hopefully they caught a cab home. Well, that was Sat. then Sunday a few of the girls went to see the movie Sparkle. It was a good movie. I especially liked Whitney Houston's performance. And that was the weekend bday! My actual bday I went to Baby A's and enjoyed a drink. And best thing about it the restaurant gave me a bday dessert!! It was a total surprise. I love me some Baby A's.  That was my weekend hopefully you enjoyed your weekend as well.
